I dislike SSRI'S myself, but I can't deny how useful they are during certain periods of our life and for those that suffer from chronic depression. Be mindful of why your girlfriend chose to see a psychiatrist in the first place. And if she's in a bad spot in her life, talking to an unbiased person, like a therapist
